A plethora of exciting stuff to announce...Bill Winks debut LP The Onion Farmer is near completion and should be up for download in the next few weeks...it is panning out as one of the most excellent collections we've put together...think nostalgic country horns and gorgeous pastoral chord changes...
This upcoming December I will be working on three albums and hopefully releasing two, if not all three of them through Thieves Anonymous. The whole Thieves Anonymous crew will be venturing to a cabin in middle Michigan to record an album by Ann Arbor songwriter Pat Sperry; it should be unlike anything we've attempted before. I will also be engineering an album by the kickass Grand Rapids band Cookie Bumstead and the Lonesome Space Cadets (www.myspace.com/cookiebumstead) and the superb Ann Arbor electronic fuzz folkers Wild Years (www.myspace.com/wildyearsmusic). Extremely excited about all of this...
More than anything else I just want to listen to Colin Post songs all day...
In the meantime, here is a little isntrumental piece I threw together one evening...suppose to tell the story of someone waking up and releazing they are on fire, luckily the fire trucks are never too far away.

A lot of months there with nothing new, we were just sitting on this album waiting to get money to upgrade this website. Hopefully we can post some shows up here soon. Since this last update we have tracked a new album titled the Onion Farmer, it is the debut album from songwriter/pedal steel player Bill Winks...vocals are being laid down this weekend and it should be up here in the next month... other than that, there's nothing to say...enjoy the WGK.

The show also features Thieves Anonymous own Party Favorites and Grand Rapids locals Cookie Bumsteadand Victory...New Party Favorites EP will be available...

Finally began archiving some old Joe Biggerstaff recordings...check em out here...there should be a ton more up before summer's end. Below is one of many new tracks he has recently sent me...simply titled "Track 9"

Speaking of the Anti-Federalists, all of their different incarnations will now fall under the category of Poseidon and Co., the name of their label....the Anti-Federalists also perform as Party Favorites now...
Here is an interesting recording I did with WGK last summer as we began recording Good Thirds called Peel #43...its an instrumental piece composed by WGK that we put together using a series of piano guitar, and mandolin loops along with some guitar and piano overdubs...
